Price: $45
Type: Services, For Sale - Private.

Hello Customer,
Just moved back into town after running my business in the Scottsdale/Phoenix area with great success. Looking for good customers who have a garage or access to a garage for your repairs since winter is coming. I do have the heater to keep me warm.
I would like to hear from local area shops who have a bay to rent as well.
Maybe you need minor home maintenance or interior painting....I do this also and once you become my customer, you have access to my private website that talks about the trade.
This is the first week in October and I am working on licensing and moving my stuff around to sell in storage plus trying to find a place to live since I cant stay at my half sisters any longer than 7 days. This is October 2nd and tonight is the last night.....got a room near the north metro from the U of M to Blaine. I am also working on setting up my step van in the next couple weeks.
$45.00 FLAT RATE HOUR. LICENSED. ASE CERTIFIED WITH GM CERTIFICATIONS-BUT I WORK ON MOST MODELS 28 YEARS EXPERIENCE. VO-TECH TRAINED.
ALLDATA & MITCHELL ON DEMAND TECHNICAL SUPPORT I AM A HIGHLY HONEST MOBILE TECHNICIAN WHO IS THE LOWEST AUTO SERVICE PROVIDER ON BACKPAGE WITH THE EXPERIENCE I HAVE. I AM ONE OF FEW LICENSED MOBILE SERVICES IN THE VALLEY AND I WANT TO CAUTION YOU ABOUT THOSE THAT YOU HIRE THAT AREN'T LICENSED, YOU COULD BE IN SERIOUS TROUBLE IF THEY MAKE A MISTAKE AND RUIN YOUR MOTOR OR TRANSMISSION. EVEN THOSE GUYS WHO CALLS THEMSELVES A BUSINESS BUT HAVE NO TRAINING COULD SERIOUSLY BE A PROBLEM FOR YOU. There are a couple of these running around that end up bailing out of the repair on a customer if they don't understand how to repair the problem.
Hello future Backpage customers,
Let me tell you a story about me and my skills to get your business before you call the other guy......
.
I have a friend who went to tech school and while he was in school I was studying with him each day while we went out and found auto repairs from our friends and family. This was back in the late xxxx to xxxx. He got me hooked on repairing vehicles because it was a challenge. After he finished school I kept doing the mobile repair with him. I got a job at Volvo Dealership in Minneapolis, Minnesota in xxxx right along side of him. Installing accessories and doing other repairs as assigned and my career grew from there. Many of the managers I had early in my career told me I should go back to school because im good at what I do but I didn't quite have the diagnostic skills to move forward. I worked a few jobs from xxxx to xxxx, when I enrolled into Private Technical School for Automotive Service Repair. I realized after finishing school that I really didn't know much about cars like I should have and it was amazing I kept my jobs because of the complexity of the new vehicles. I finished school in xxxx and found myself working at the dealerships for GM. Mostly Chevrolet and my name was a reputable one for repairing cars the first time from happy customers. I FIX IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME AND MY DEALERSHIP CUSTOMER SATISFACTION REPORTS PROVED THAT. I stayed inside the top 5 technicians in a shop of 23 techs.
I invested over $50,000 in Snap on Tools over the last 28 years. I have a rock solid reputation for being very honest and when I took a job in a shop and they were ripping people off, I am out the door and on to the next shop. There are over 10 million cars in this country and that is plenty of repairs to make a living with.
One of the things you should know about ASE TESTING. . ..ASE does not teach you how and why it works, it just proves they can pass a test. You sit down and ask a thousand business owners who have been in business for over 25 years and they will tell you that they would hire a school trained technician before they would an ASE Certified Technician. . ..SO BE ALERT TO WHO IS ACTUALLY WORKING ON YOUR CAR AT YOUR LOCAL REPAIR SHOP. DON'T BE AFRAID TO ASK THE TECHS IF THEY WENT TO SCHOOL.
I was certified and re-certified for these tests twice for Electrical, Brakes, Air Conditioning and Recovery. I held GM Certifications in Drive Train, Suspension, Brake Systems, ABS, OBD2 systems, Tech One and several other vehicle options. I work on all sorts of models not just GM.
.
I provide a ONE YEAR WARRANTY ON ALL PARTS AND LABOR THAT I SELL YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!
.
I would prefer not to install customers own parts. I find almost everytime a customer gets their own parts they are wrong. The other problem is they get the wrong part and then a trip is made to the auto store for the right part. The best thing....buy my parts because if I am wrong, it won't affect you other then a longer repair time. MY PARTS ARE CHEAP COMPARED TO THE 50% MARKUP THE SHOPS CHARGE YOU!! You buy parts at a retail cost and think you're getting a deal but my parts are sold to me at a wholesale cost and my mark up to sell the part to you is less then you paid.
I WANT TO SAY....
AS LONG AS YOU'RE READING ABOUT OBTAINING YOUR OWN PARTS....I THINK YOU SHOULD KNOW THAT BUYING PARTS FROM ACROSS THE COUNTRY IS NOT A GOOD IDEA BECAUSE YOU CAN'T SEE THE PART BEFORE YOU BUY IT, SO YOUR TAKING A CHANCE ON THAT PART. THE PROBLEM WITH THIS IS YOU'RE THE ONE WHO HAS TO PAY FOR THE SHIPPING IF THE PART IS WRONG BY THEIR FAULT OR YOURS. ONCE YOU PAY FOR THAT PART, THEY HAVE YOUR INFORMATION AND YOUR ACCOUNT WILL BE DEBITED THEIR HIDDEN FEES. ANOTHER PROBLEM IS WHEN THE TIME COMES TO FILE A WARRANTY CLAIM ON THE PART, YOU HAVE TO PAY SOMEONE AGAIN TO REMOVE THE PART, SEND IT BACK TO THAT LOCATION AND THEN WAIT FOR THEM TO INSPECT THIS PART AND IF IT PROVES TO BE A BAD PART, THEN THEY WILL SEND YOU A NEW PART. THE ONLY OTHER WAY PAST THIS DELAY IN TIME IS FOR YOU TO BUY THE SECOND PART AND WHEN THEY GET THE FIRST ONE BACK, THEN YOU GET A CREDIT.....ONLY IF THEY SAY THAT PART IS BAD. OFTEN YOU WON'T TAKE PICTURES OR DOCUMENT YOUR CASE BECAUSE YOU DON'T KNOW AT THE TIME YOU PURCHASE THIS PART THAT YOU'RE GOING TO HAVE AN ISSUE. YOU MAY THINK YOU'RE GETTING A GREAT DEAL BUT COSTS IN THE LONG RUN NEVER COME TO YOUR ATTENTION UNTIL ITS BAD. LASTLY, ANOTHER PROBLEM IS THESE COMPANIES DO NOT OFFER A RETURN POLICY. BUYER BEWARE ON EBAY TOO. With the statement I just made, hopefully you see the length in the time wasted in these situations from buying parts on an Internet site came come in play.
One added note is......for any mechanic or technician to file a labor claim with that company to get paid for their part failure, does not prove to be time worthy because they will do anything they can and feed you a line of verbal garbage because they know you aren't coming to where they are located to file a court case against them. Like Penny Pincher Parts who does not submit claims for part failures brought back to his store on behalf of local shops. This store sells the lowest quality parts in the world. One of his starters caught fire internally on one my customers vehicles and a labor claim was filed by me within a week of calling him and obtaining a replacement starter. He would not turn this claim into the manufacturer to proper labor claim. He told me that I did not turn my paper work into him within the proper time limit......I EMAILED IT TOO HIM AND HAVE THAT EMAIL PROOF THAT HE GOT IT. Three weeks later he leaves a message asking for the statement I was going to submit too him. He conveniently called me on the very last day of the deadline, so I emailed him the copy again with my bill present and then I mailed it certified that same day. I have talked with other customers in the parking lot that i seen bringing a part back and this guy said that many local shops wont use this guys parts. I see why now and I don't suggest anyone use his parts. I took pictures and documented the starter and have two witnesses also who seen this starter. BEWARE.
I own the same technical supports those big shops own. But I own both ALLDATA AND MITCHELL ON DEMAND. IT IS HIGHLY UNLIKELY YOU WILL FIND ANY SHOPS IN ARIZONA OR ANY MOBILE TECHNICIAN WITH BOTH OF THEM. If you are one of my paying customers and need to know about a service bulletin or any repair directions, call me up and I can email it to you. If you want advice? . . . ask me.
.
I am the most affordable Professional Auto Technician on Craigslist because I don't have a large overhead to maintain at this time and I don't CHEAT my customers. I have quit jobs in shops, in the past because I will not "upsell" the customer, which means sell to them what they do not need.
I have a great reference from Chandler out around RIGGS AND GILBERT ROADS who is telling everyone around his home and work place about me. I have repaired three problems in two weeks for him for around $500.00, these repairs would have been $xxxx.00 at a local shop. I have a reference in Scottsdale and she is quickly handing out my phone number to single women and single mom's because I am HONEST and AFFORDABLE.
.
I AM NOT AS CHEAP AS I WOULD LIKE TO BE TO GET YOUR BUSINESS, I AM AFFORDABLE BECAUSE REPAIRS SHOULD NOT BE EXPENSIVE WHILE WE ARE IN THIS FAILING ECONOMY. Shops are charging over $75.00 Flat Rate Hour AND MANY OVER $100.00.
.
Just want to let you know, I don't sit at the computer all day when I am out on service calls. So please allow up to a day for a reply to your request/question. I have had a lot of insulting replies from people who don't understand this and expect same day service. I have customers by appointment, emergencies and then fill the space around them with calls. Seriously folks, if you pass up my services because of something you read related to the cost, you're making a huge mistake....YOU WON'T FIND MANY AS HONEST AS ME IN THIS STATE. THE STATE ATTORNEY GENERAL DOES NOT INVESTIGATE CLAIMS AGAINST CONSUMERS UNLESS IT IS OVER $30,000.00 AND THE SHOPS KNOW THIS, SO THEY GET AWAY WITH THE TACTIC "PAY THE BILL AND JUST DON'T COME BACK THEN". SAD ISN'T IT THAT OUR OWN LAWS CAN BE DEVIATED BY THESE SHOPS. THESE ARE THE PEOPLE THAT MAKE HONEST GUYS LOOK BAD.
The last week of Sept. xxxx, an email was sent by one of my customers to every teacher in the local school he works at about my service after I fixed his alternator on his PT Cruiser. He had one other craigslist mechanic (ill call him a mechanic because he didn't go to school) work on replacing the alternator and the kid could not get it off the vehicle. I OWN ALLDATA AND MITCHELL ON DEMAND TECHNICAL SOFTWARE'S AND I KNEW HOW BY PAYING FOR THESE TO SUPPORT MY SERVICES, I ALLDATA SAID THE AXLE SHAFT HAD TO COME OUT AND THE ALTERNATOR HAD TO COME OUT THE BOTTOM OF THE VEHICLES ENGINE COMPARTMENT. The labor cost was 2 hours in the guide, so that cost him $75.00 to replace!!(at the time my rate was $35.00 per hour) THIS KID SHOWED UP AT HIS HOUSE WITH A FANCY TRUCK AND TRAILER AND NO TECHNICAL SUPPORT TO TELL THIS KID HOW THE JOB IS REPAIRED. This software I own covers every vehicle between xxxx and xxxx right now and I am updating it soon because I am starting to see a few newer vehicles AND I HAVE ACCESS TO AN INTERNET TO SITES THAT NO OTHER TECHNICIAN IN THIS AREA KNOWS ABOUT THAT IS UP TO DATE ON ALL VEHICLES GOING BACK TO THE xxxx'S ON SOME VEHICLES. If you spend alot of time on backpage or craigslist looking for the right guy, keep this in mind....If they don't have any technical support and these two softwares also come with the widely known pricing labor guides that the shops use, then your paying to much for services and usually you aren't paying the same price as the same owners of your vehicle. These two softwares were created by big companies and they do surveys daily of shops in the country and ask them how long it took one technician to do a specific repair. This is based on xxxx mechanics and an average is created and that is how they get the labor guides....WARNING....SHOPS DEVIATE FROM THESE LABOR GUIDES AND TELL YOU "THAT IS JUST A GUIDE TO USE FOR PRICING" IF YOU FIND A SHOP LIKE THIS AND I JUST QUIT WORKING FOR ONE HERE IN LOWER SCOTTSDALE---YOU'RE GETTING RIPPED OFF BY THAT SHOP. This guy was ripping customers off left and right by over charging them for services. He has been in business for over 30 years and barely has any business because the word of people in the area is don't go to that shop. Even the local parts stores won't send customers to this guy. The local PEPBOYS uses his shop to replace their customers car hoses when they have one that fails. That PEPBOYS ON SCOTTSDALE ROAD HAS BAD MECHANICS WORKING AT IT AND EVERY WEEK, THEY SEND A CAR TO BE REPAIRED AT THIS GUYS SHOP. HE HAS A POLICY THAT HE WANTS TWO HOURS OF LABOR FOR ALMOST EVERY VEHICLE HE WORKS ON.
One lady came in with a mini van that was blowing out fan belts. She had a new compressor and the belt pulley replaced in Green Bay WI. and on her way to Arizona, the belt came off in Des Moines, so she had it replaced. Then she arrived to Arizona and couple days later this belt came off again. She brought it too our shop and Jim took a look at it and said it needed a new compressor because it was tossing the belts off it. I said that's impossible and said let me look at it. I checked it out and put a belt on. The only way I could confirm if the others had put the belt on right was to put a new belt on and send her away and wait. This was true, two days later she came back, so I checked all the pulleys and found that the belt on the power steering pump was riding one tooth off and this is way in the back of the engine compartment, so moved it over and then the two back pulleys started making noise because now the belt was riding properly, so I put a stethoscope too those two pulleys and found one whistling and the other growling, so replaced those. This is when I checked the alignment of the belts pulley they put on in WI. and found they installed the pulley wrong, so it was pulling the belt away from the normal operating pattern and on acceleration or when the compressor kicked on, this would toss the belt off. I took the pulley off and put it on the other way and re-installed the belt. THIS WOMAN WAS OVER CHARGED $425.00 FOR AN HOURS WORTH OF WORK AT THIS CROOKED SHOP ON THOMAS ROAD and SCOTTSDALE ROAD.
THIS CUSTOMER NEVER CAME BACK TO THE SHOP AND CALLED ME TWO WEEKS LATER AT HOME AND SAID ITS FINE NOW. YES I GAVE HER MY CELL NUMBER BECAUSE I NEEDED TO HEAR IT FROM HER THAT I FIXED HER PROBLEM. JIM AND THE BOSS(ART) WANTED TO TOSS A NEW COMPRESSOR AND CHARGE HER $650.00 TO DO THE WORK. JIM IS NOT A GOOD REPAIRMAN AND HAS BEEN AT THIS GUYS SHOP FOR OVER 15 YEARS. LOCAL MECHANICS WON'T WORK THERE. This shops equipment is not up to date and this owner won't spend any money and Jim has to buy the tools he needs to do repairs.
I am also willing to barter for many things. Here are a few....Chev./Ford Cargo Van, covered trailer, auto repair tools, office supplies, dental repairs, legal help, accounting services, business products, signs and more, ask me. Lets get your vehicle on the road properly, safely and in a cost effective manner to where you don't get ripped off. Inflation is hitting everyone and I can do my services at this rate and still make a good living. I want your business AND YOU NEED MINE!!
I AM CONNECTED TO THESE PART STORES LOCALLY ON MY LAPTOP: O'REILLYS, AUTOZONE, NAPA, BAP AUTO PARTS AS WELL AS MANY DEALERS AS I UTILIZE THOSE FACILITIES THAT ARE CLOSEST TO MY CUSTOMERS LOCATION. I am located around the lower Scottsdale area and willing to travel to most areas of the valley inside 30 miles, but you can email me if you are outside those areas and we can discuss your repair.
I do not put my contact information in my ads because I get harassing emails from the competition and also I get people calling me in the middle of the night to come out and fix their broken down vehicle. I do not do all night services for customers because parts are not available during those hours, so going out to your location would be a waste of time. I would tell them to tow it home and come to their house by appointment. When you reply, tell me the problem and please send the Year, Make, Model, Engine Size, Automatic or Manual Transmission and Body Style of your vehicle along with your name and area you live in and I will reply back. Have a Good Day and Thank You for stopping by.
