Initially your primary focus will be controversy, related negotiations and planning. The company is a well known large multinational corporation known for promoting from within and offering a nice work / life balance. Primary Responsibilities: Manages all aspects of the state and local tax process with an emphasis on controversy, planning, and FIN48 Assist Federal and International tax planning and controversy Assists with accounting for income taxes. Oversees the Company s tax risk assessment and long term tax strategy Trains other tax department personnel in all facets of the tax function Requirements: Bachelor s degree in Accounting or Finance At least 10 years of corporate tax experience Must have the ability to read, comprehend and apply complex tax law to the Company s operations and transactions Strong analytical and time management skills Well-developed written and verbal communication skills Excellent understanding of tax compliance, controversy, and negotiations, Strong understanding of ASC 740, Experience in managing numerous external service providers.
